National Broadband Network Tasmania (NBN Tasmania) has been established by the Commonwealth and State governments.

NBN Tasmania is the first stage of the Commonwealth Government's ambitious multi-billion dollar national broadband network.

Tasmania was selected to lead this national initiative because of the extensive work already undertaken in developing and testing the concept of fibre-to-the-premises.

A panel of contractors has been established to build the initial rollout of the NBN.  This portal is to identify additional local companies that can assist with the Tasmanian build phase.

At this stage only companies that can provide specific capabilities should register for the project.  Please do not register here if your company is a seller or reseller of consumables or equipment.  Another portal may be established for Australian/NZ made equipment for the project in the future.

We are currently looking for local companies that can provide services in the following categories.

• Cable Installation (all aspects, above ground, below ground etc)
• Horizontal Directional Drilling
• Electrical Installation (Overhead and Underground)
• Qualified Underground Asset Locators
• Civil Contractors (Ground Works)
• Trenching
• Telecommunications Technicians
• Fibre Optic Splicer’s/Jointers
• Labour Hire
